Torresol have brought the Gemasolar 19.9MW solar heated salt turbine aka “Concentrated Solar Power” online in Spain. The facility is capable of sustaining a constant supply of electricity to the grid and has capacity for 15 hours of operation without any sunlight being directed at the salt tower. With progress like this it’s no wonder the Germans have decided that they no longer need nuclear energy to meet their energy needs.
