Their latest offering is faster, stronger, slimmer, and of course, sexier. They strived to break free from the normal constraints of a device through constant innovation, and the result is the Eee Pad Transformer Prime.

technology, the Transformer Prime is blazing fast. In fact, they are setting a new
industry standard for how fast a tablet should be.
Multitasking and
HD movies? Piece of cake.
With the all new Eee Pad Transformer Prime, there on Asus, are setting a benchmark for what tablets should be.
The tablet itself will have 12 hours of movie playback battery life, while combining the tablet with the mobile dock will increase the battery life to 18 hours. The starting price is $499 USD for the 32GB version, and $599 USD for the 64GB version. The separate mobile dock will sell for an additional $149 USD.
The screen will come at 1280×800 resolution, and will include Super IPS+ capabilities. This basically will increase the brightness of the screen to 600 nits, making it extremely bright and suitable for outdoor viewing. Super IPS+ would make the ASUS Transformer Prime the brightest tablet on the market.
The front has a 1.2 megapixel camera, while the back has an 8.0 megapixel camera, with
LED flash, continuous focus, touch to focus, and an increased aperture size. The increased aperture size from the usual F/2.8 to F/2.4 (smaller is better) will allow more light to come in, which should significantly improve the quality of the images taken.
Of course, just like the original ASUS Transformer, the ASUS Transformer Prime will come with a variety of ports. On the tablet itself, we are going to get a Micro HDMI port as well as a Micro SD port. The mobile dock will have a standard USB 2.0 port as a full sized SD card port. To be consistent with the redesigned tablet, the mobile dock has also been slimmed down and looks much sexier than the previous generation. Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like the mobile dock will be compatible between generations like initially promised last year.
When it comes to design, the ASUS Transformer Prime, as previously revealed, will sport the same metallic spun finish as ASUS Zenbook. In the weight department, the ASUS Transformer Prime tablet measures in at 8.3mm thin, and weighs in only at 586g. Not shabby at all. Both the back metallic cover and the screen have been treated with a hydro oleophobic solution, making it more fingerprint resistant. This should help you to keep your ASUS Transformer Prime looking newer longer. This device will also come in two colors, one in amethyst gray, and another in champagne gold.
Finally, for the
OS, it looks like ASUS Transformer Prime will still be shipping with Android Honeycomb. However, the folks over at ASUS did mention that they will reveal more information about Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich in December.
