What Are The Best Bluetooth Headsets?

Posted by Andreas Christodoulou

Description :

Bluetooth headsets are becoming more and more popular for people who love to take their music with them but don't want to hassle with carrying around an MP3 player as well as a cell phone. Most cell phones today can easily double as an MP3 player and with Bluetooth technology, there's no reason to have wires strung around your body so you can listen to your style of music in complete privacy. Also, having a Bluetooth headset means you don't have to drag your phone out of your pocket every time it rings, nor do you have to hold the phone to your ear which means you can keep your hands free to do other things such as continuing to work.

So which headset type will be best for your needs? If your main need for a headset is to answer the phone quickly and easily while keeping your hands free, then you'll want a device that hangs off of one ear. If your main goal is to enjoy your music while having the convenience of answering your phone if it rings, you'll want a headset that covers both ears so you can have the full stereo experience for your tunes.

Here are some of the best Bluetooth single-ear options for you:

- Plantronics

- Samsung

- Jabra

- Jawbone

Here are some of the best Bluetooth stereo headset options:

- Nokia

- Plantronics

- Jabra

- LG

Manufacturers will have several different models which will give you a combination of price versus performance ranges you'll have to examine to find the best fit for your needs and your budget. Some of the parameters you'll be considering will be battery life (both in-use and idle), range, price, audio quality and phone compatibility. Also keep in mind that some versions of these headsets are also earbuds so if you're uncomfortable with an earbud, you'll want to take notice.

Keep in mind that while Bluetooth headsets are offered by most cell phone carriers such as Verizon and T-Mobile either as an option or as part of an accessory package, these are essentially headsets from one of the above manufacturers with the cell phone carrier's label on it and a premium price attached. Unless you're getting an exceptional deal on your accessories package through your carrier, you'll be better off looking for your Bluetooth headset elsewhere.

Today, Bluetooth headsets are easy to find and are relatively inexpensive. One of the best ways to find the perfect Bluetooth headset for you is to shop online at some of the big box retailers and electronics suppliers. This enables you to compare all the available features of each headset and once you've decided on which headset you want, you can then search for the best price. Bluetooth headsets make cell phones a lot easier to deal with and a lot more private as well and as inexpensive as a quality Bluetooth headset is, taking advantage of that ease of use is well worth the investment.

Samsung Galaxy S3, HTC One X Are Among The 5 Best Smartphones of 2012

Posted by Unknown

Description :

It is not that difficult for someone to name five top smartphones in the market. You guessed it right, Samsung Galaxy S3 and HTC One X are top on the list with the best smartphones of the year. Apple's iPhone 4S which was however launched last year made it to the list because of its high demand.

With increasing competition in Mobile Market manufacturers are coming out with astonishing devices to keep up with the others. Samsung, HTC and Nokia came out with wonderful handsets this year. Apple however lacks a new phone which is expected to come out later this year, however the iPhone 4S has managed to get a good place in the market because of its popularity. Below is the list of the best handsets to buy this summer.

Samsung Galaxy S III

The Samsung Galaxy S III top on the list it sports a 4.8 inch 720x1280 Super AMOLED display, Android ICS withnew TouchWiz overlay, NFC, 2GB of RAM, 1.5 GHz dual-core processor, 8 megapixel rear camera, 1.9 megapixel front facing camera, 4G LTE and/or HSPA+ support, and 2100 mAh battery.

Some Extra features include Smart Stay where the sensor notes when you are looking at the display and keeps the display turned on during this time, Direct call that will initiate a call when you lift the phone to your ear during a text conversation, Smart alert that vibrates your phone when you come back to it if there are pending notifications, S Voice voice command software, enhanced sharing functionality, and more.

For many analysts, the Galaxy S III is the best Android handset ever.Popularity of S3 can be gauged from the sales figures of the handset. In one month and two days after its official release (May 29, 2012) Samsung sold out more than 6 million units of the handset across the world. As per market analysts, Samsung may sell more than 20 million units of the handset in six months of its availability.

HTC One X

The One X is one of the best looking smart phones ever. With its quad-core 1.5 Ghz Nvidia Tegra 3 processor, 4.7-inch Super IPS LCD2 HD display and a thinner design running HTC Sense 4.0 on Ice Cream Sandwich this phone has a balance of looks and performance.

It has a 8 mega-pixel camera with a fast shutter. It has 32Gb internal storage with no room for a microSD card slot. It comes with a 1800mAh battery which is unfortunately non-removable. You also get 25Gb of Dropbox space.

iPhone 4S

The iPhone 4S is actually Apple’s 2011 phone. As far as specs and features are taken into account, the iPhone 4S is not as powerful as the leading Android phones of the day.

The iPhone 4S has only a crammed 3.5-inch display, an 8 mega-pixel camera, 1GHz dual core Cortex-A5 processor and 512MB of RAM. Also it has Siri, iOS's Virtual personal assistant which was a key feature for its success.

Nokia Lumia 900

The Lumia 900 is a gorgeous looking phone running Windows Phone 7.5 Mango OS. It has a 1.4 GHz Scorpion CPU with Qualcomm APQ8055 Snapdragon chip, Adreno 205 GPU and 8-megapixel camera.

The handset boasts a 4.3-inch AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels. Windows Phone 7.5 Mango, the latest version of the firmware from Microsoft runs the handset. Sadly it won't get updated to Windows Phone 8.

Nokia 808 PureView

The 808 PureView is the best camera phone ever made. The 808 PureView runs on Belle OS from Nokia. The PureView has grabbed the attention because of its 41 mega-pixel camera with features like Carl Zeiss optics, up to 4x lossless digital zoom, geo-tagging and others.

Besides this it also has an ARM 11 processor clocked at 1.3 GHz, 4 inches of AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with 360 x 640 pixels of display resolution, 16 GB of in-house memory, 1 GB of ROM and 512 MB of RAM.

We present to you Sony's best-in-class audio/video infotainment system. An In-Dash Receiver that provides great dynamic sound capabilities using an EQ7 7-band equalizer and a rear bass enhancer to allow your back speakers to act as a subwoofer.

Featuring Jump Mode, SensMe, and the new MirrorLink applications the receiver makes search capabilities a lot easier. Experience music playback and connectivity like never before with brand new technology that is revolutionizing the car audio industry.

With integrated Bluetooth technology, Pandora internet radio control, integrated HD Radio™ tuner, SiriusXM™ satellite radio connectivity, dual USB inputs and CD/DVD playback to maximize a mobile audio experience.

We got a glimpse of this at CES, but the XAV-601BT has Sony's MirrorLink technology. Now, for those with smartphones, you can control and enjoy music, navigation and other smartphone apps safely while on the move.

MirrorLink gives you in-dash control over applications and data that you have saved on your phone. With the first MirrorLink™ compatible in-car AV centre head unit, you’re always in touch with your digital world while you’re behind the wheel.

Just connect your MirrorLink™ certified smartphone to the XAV-601BT and you’re ready for the road.

As well as making and receiving calls safely, it’s easy to interact with your phone’s media collection and compatible apps while your smartphone’s battery charges via USB.

You can even get directions and interact via the large 15.5cm (6.1”) touch panel with your phone’s built-in navigation app (NB: supported functions depend on capabilities of connected smartphone).

From launch, the XAV-601BT offers guaranteed MirrorLink™ compatibility with these Symbian smartphones: Nokia 701, 700, 603, N8, E7, C7, X7, C6-01. The head unit is future-proofed with simple firmware updates to add compatibility with more apps and a growing range of smartphones from other manufacturers.

You don’t even have to be a driver to enjoy all the fun. Passenger App Control lets travel companions view videos and interact with apps from their connected iPhone and iPod Touch on the head unit’s touchscreen. (NB: iPod video playback requires optional cable).

Dual USB ports allow simultaneous connection of two portable devices. Make calls and use your smartphone’s navigation app, while browsing album artwork and playlists on your iPod/iPhone or Walkman or listening to tracks stored on USB flash memory.

Music searches, control of linked devices and other functions are a pleasure via the touchscreen’s speedy, responsive ‘3D-style’ interface. Choose your background wallpaper image, or select from a choice of six eye-grabbing visualizations that bring music playback to life.

Audio/video quality of the XAV-601BT is everything you’d expect from Sony’s range-topping AV Centre head unit. You’ll enjoy detail-packed DVD video playback, plus a clear view of playlists and album artwork on the large 15.5cm (6.1”) WVGA touchscreen.

Sony’s unique Advanced Sound Engine lets you fine-tune each performance with a wide palette of sonic refinements to suit your mood and your music collection.

Unique to Sony, radio reception is enhanced by a Digital Clarity Tuner that improves stereo channel separation and sound quality if you’re driving in areas with weak FM signal coverage.

Naturally the XAV-601BT supports Bluetooth for safe hands-free calls from your phone, and wireless music streaming from your Walkman or Bluetooth -enabled MP3 player.

For additional peace of mind, the XAV-601BT features a removable front panel that detaches in an instant for improved anti-theft security while you’re away from the vehicle.

About MirrorLink™ Technology:

MirrorLink™ is a technology standard developed by the Car Connectivity Consortium (CCC) that unites many of the world’s major electronics, automotive and mobile communications companies.

Drivers can safely access many of their smartphone’s capabilities from behind the wheel, without looking at or touching the phone itself.

It seamlessly connects your phone with your vehicle’s information and entertainment system.

Approved applications and content are ‘mirrored’ from the mobile device onto the display of your in-dash head unit. This connectivity allows you to interact safely with your smartphone via the car’s head unit display, steering wheel buttons and audio system.

The new XAV-601BT in-car AV Centre with MirrorLink™ compatibility by Sony is available in Europe from June 2012. Enjoy the video!

The Sony XAV-601BT is great for turning any road trip into a fun and entertaining adventure. With great sound quality and performance, this receiver provides a new lively experience while your out on the road.
